Building upon a lifelong fascination for the natural world, in the midst of an arts degree Jodie transitioned away from painting to puppet-making and officially founded Animus Puppetry in early 2019.
Ever since she has been on a mission to capture the essence of life in each creature she produces. Drawing from a fine art background, meticulous detail is applied at every stage of the process from research and design all the way through to production and finishing.
As well as a conscientious approach, sustainability is also at the heart of our production style, with capabilities for up to 75% of final materials to be hand selected and recycled from local business surplus.
The joy of creating is at the centre of all of our projects, so please do get in contact with any ideas you would like to discuss in more detail. Our adaptive approach makes us inclusive of all budgets and ensures no project is too big or too small.
The Process

Design
After hearing about your idea, I will create a series of design mood boards exploring the form and function of what you require. We develop a range of imaginative solutions perfectly suited to your production needs and project scope.

Production
Once we have finalised an initial concept, prototyping begins. At this stage a physical form begins to take shape and you are consulted at every stage of the process as your idea comes to life.

Finish
Once the integral structure is created and you are totally happy with the functional capabilities of the creation, we reach the finishing stage. The final creative flair is applied to capture the magic. Fur, feathers, lights, glitter? The choice is yours!
